“Audiatur et altera pars” is the principle of hearing both sides or the right to have the other side heard as well. Guided by this fundamental right, our mission led us to establish a nonprofit association dedicated to lifelong education and continuing professional development for interpreters and translators.

English name: Association of Sworn Court Interpreters and Legal Translators of Slovenia SCIT®
Social media:
The Association of Sworn Court Interpreters and Legal Translators of Slovenia SCIT® is a registered trademark, registration no. 202070102, as per the decision of the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office dated 12 October 2020. Trademark protection applies to the use of its visual identity and content, regardless of the mark’s color.
The acronym “SCIT” stands for Slovene Court Interpreters and Translators.
For international engagement, the association registered an abbreviated name in 2016, as it was not selected at the time of its founding. On 10 January 2017, the Upravna enota Logatec officially entered the association’s short name into the register of associations, which is Združenje SCIT. The acronym is an integral to the full and short name, making it inseparable from the official designation. Using the full or shortened name without the acronym is considered an incorrect representation of the association.
